Oticon Amigo Amplified Sound System for hearing
impaired people
The Amplified Sound System comprises a portable,
pocket-sized FM transmitter and receiver unit. The hearing impaired
person uses the receiver unit with either a neckloop or induction
plate(s) when wearing a hearing aid with a T switch while the speaker
uses the transmitter with a small clip-on microphone. When not wearing
a hearing aid, use a Walkman style headphone or stethoscope.
The microphone and transmitter sends sound to the receiver unit
which is transmitted direct to the ears via the hearing aid T switch
if using the neckloop or induction plate(s); or direct to the ears
if using the walkman style headphone or stethoscope earphone. The
system is very effective with any conversation, particularly in
meetings and classroom situations.
